Overview

Liston specializes in manufacturing solid and split Babbitt lined bearings for the Original Equipment Manufacturer(OEM) and end-user markets. Quick turnaround is available and we excel in the manufacture of one-off parts and short production runs (5-25 per run). "Just in Time (JIT)" directly to your shop floor can be arranged with min/max parameters.

Babbitting

Liston has over 40 years’ experience centrifugally casting and static pouring Babbitt on all ferrous and non-ferrous metals. A centrifugal spinning machine and four lathes are used to Babbitt bearings with up to a 21” OD.

Liston uses only Certified Grade II Babbitt unless otherwise specified by our customers. After machining, all Babbitted parts are dye-checked and Ultrasonic tested as required.

Quality

Liston maintains a temperature controlled room featuring a Zeiss Contoura G2, Brown & Sharp CMM, Microval Measuring Machine, and Ultrasonic Flaw Detector - inspectors are level-one certified.

All gauging equipment is regularly calibrated to the National Bureau of Standards.

Material certification and inspection reports are maintained by our Quality Department and are available on request.
